It's NCAA Tournament time, so it's a good time to review the "NCAA Basketball 10" game that's been sitting in my desk drawer for a while. EA Sports' latest college game, I've discovered, looks and feels a lot like its current NBA simulation, "NBA Live 10," and this is not a bad thing. The graphics look convincing and the game looks like an NCAA Tournament broadcast, even with familiar CBS theme music.  

Steve Chiang, who co-founded the Tiburon studio and worked for EA Sports for 15 years, has moved on to take the role of president of development at social gaming company Zynga. The company is best known as the creators of the Facebook phenomenon 'FarmVille'. With Chiang departing that allowed EA to promote Andrew Wilson and Pauline Moller into new roles with the company.  

It made the word "Boomshakalaka" a widely used term in basketball during the 90s, thanks to its popularity in arcades, and now, the addictive NBA Jam arcade classic is poised for a comeback. Last week, we posted the trailer for the revamped version of the title for the Wii, due in December. Now, more about the game are being revealed.  

Tiger Woods' marriage to EA Sports is on solid ground despite the 100 or so racy text messages published one of his alleged mistresses, former porn star Jocelyn James, Thursday afternoon. "Our relationship with Tiger is rooted in golf and he will remain the face of our golf franchise," said senior EA Public Relations manager Rob Semsey through e-mail. He said Tiger Woods would be featured on the PGA Tour 2011 game to be released this summer for Playstation 3, 360, Wii and iPhone.

Bad Company 2 have been sold to gamers since it was launched and that reviews from about 46 reviewers awarding a score over 90 to the new first person shooter. The two companies believe that the performance, coupled with the sales registered until March 30, will make Bad Company 2 the best sold videogame of March in the United States. Karl Magnus Troedsson, who is the executive producer working on the Battlefield franchise, stated that "We are so thrilled with the success of Battlefield: Bad Company 2  

For Activision Blizzard ( ATVI ) , the release of the much-awaited Starcraft II and Diablo III should lead to some unexpectedly high sales and fuel purchases of the predecessor games in the series. I expect these rollouts to be comparable to Activision's Halo III release. My basis for this is that after a short poll of "gamers" among my group of friends and looking at communities that deal with game on the Internet, there are very few gamers who are not considering buying this release.  

Citigroup, Inc. – One investor established a mammoth bullish stance on Citigroup in the first 20 minutes of the current trading session. Citigroup's shares at the time of the transaction were trading at approximately $4.05, but have since slipped lower and are down 0.50% to $4.03 as of 2:45 pm (ET). It looks like the Citi-bull sold 240,000 put options outright at the April $4.0 strike to take in a premium of $0.16 per contract.

If you can't get enough of the craziness that is March Madness, pick up a copy of EA Sports NCAA Basketball 09 and take complete control of everything that is college hoops. The game is far from perfect, but it's the best college basketball game on the market this year and next. EA Sports has cancelled the franchise for the time being, so the 2009 version will have to last for at least two years.
